In 2011, my work features an installation combining printmaking works, readymades and real humans. The concept discusses mythology and how people become submissive to branding and hypnotic discourses and values.
For each piece, I use handmade printed materials with serigraphy and etching on leather pieces for the sitter. They were price tags and words from magazines attached to the sitters as if livestock branding.
Surrounded by readymades printed materials and shopping bags with logos, the sitters are told to express a cold stare as if all her conscience has to be led by brands and made-up values.
The installation also features to printed photographs of sitters with the staged scene, some are also photoshopped later to best convey the ‘perfect image’ beauty.
